Dinner Plates in the Cleveland State Service

These scalloped English porcelain plates were acquired for the state dinner service circa 1894, during Grover Cleveland's second administration. The plate on the left, featuring delicate blue and gold trim, was made by the firm Minton of Stoke, England. The plate on the right, bordered by blue and white palmettes, was made by Coalport Porcelain Works of Coalport, England.
